New launches in the domestic market

On the one hand, Bodega Benegas presented the new vintages of its wines Luna Benegas 2009 and Juan Benegas 2010 that, together with Clara Benegas and Carmela Benegas, make up the Estirpe range: the range of young wines that carries the names of Federico Benegas Lynch’s children.

“Luna Benegas 2009 is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that was born in the young lots of Libertad Vineyard, located in Cruz de Piedra, Maipú, on the bank of the river Mendoza,” commented the winery. While “Juan Benegas 2010 is a 100% Malbec made with grapes from Finca La Encerrada located in Gualtallary, Tupungato, at 1,450 meters.”

Luna Benegas 2009 and Juan Benegas 2010 come in 750ml liter bottles and are already available at a price of ARS 64.

On the other hand, Amalaya winery presented its Amalaya Rosé 2012. This rosé blends Malbec (95%) and Torrontés (5%) and brings out a unique color, flavor and taste. Once again, Amalaya is pioneer in blend wines offering the first rosé that combines the two emblematic grape varieties of Argentina. Amalaya Rosé 2012 is refreshing, fruity, medium-bodied, and over the finish, it delivers a hint of Torrontés.

“Its style is inspired by French Provence rosés that stand out for their pink salmon color and low alcohol content. The Malbec and the contribution of Torrontés give this wine a special and distinctive character,” commented Paco Puga, winemaker of the firm.

The grapes come from Calchaquí Valley and from estate-owned vineyards in Cafayate, at 1,600 and 2,200m.s.l, respectively.

Image revamp

Terrazas de los Andes presents the new image of the range Single Vineyard Las Compuertas Malbec that was born in one of the winery’s most prized vineyards, “Las Compuertas” in Vistalba that boast ungrafted root stock of 1929 and a density of 5,555 plants per hectare.

The production of Terrazas de los Andes Single Vineyard is limited. It takes root in a genuine style and the best of a varietal wine is obtained: elegance, concentration and intensity with rich and ripe fruit and matchless aromatic persistence.

Since May, 2008 Terrazas de los Andes Single Vineyard Las Compuertas Malbec is available at a suggested retail price of ARS 207 in the best restaurants and wine shops of Argentina.

For its part, Trivento showed its new corporate image. The ambitious project began with a redesign of both the company logo and the emblematic wine range Trivento Reserve.

The revamp was closely tied to the aim of positioning Trivento as a symbol of high-end Argentine wine around the world. The winery’s attributes; excellence, soundness, elegance, reliability and the Argentine spirit, are carved into the new logo.

One of the more significant ways the winery is revealing this overhaul is through a corporate video. Notable for its use of tight shots and close-ups, the focus of the video is placed on the assembling, shaping and creation that flow from hands at work.

“Our hands are the protagonists. They embody the finesse and care each employee places in their work on a daily basis”, comments Mónica Caamaño, Marketing Manager.

The Mendozan director Gaspar Gómez was in charge of shooting the piece. “When I picked up the camera, I put the focus of ‘Manos’(Hands) on the fine details because wine has magic, but behind that magic are the hands that guide us toward the pleasure of uncorking a bottle.”
